What makes me sick of DA is how all these "famous" people on here care about no one else. What makes me sick of DA is how some people who are actually GOOD never get a chance to shine. What makes me sick of DA is the stupid bleeding pictures that get daily deviations. How people get quickly snap from nice to arrogant once they get a certain amount of pageviews. I hate how you actually have to have an expensive camera to get people to look at your art. how things HAVE to be photoshopped to be good. I hate how they criticise the person who got a DD and they didn't. I'm sick of Deviantart really. I've got nothing good out of it..all that's happened is I've met some some nice people. And I'm only still here because of those people, I like to look at their art. Every one else...all these people with a billion pageviews...they mean utterly nothing to me.

this doesn't bug me. People can look at a piece of art or not and everyone's gotta start somewhere... I think this is more preference than anything.

it's not the comments that bother me, it's when you report them and nothing is done about them

I dont know if it's hypocritical or that some areas of the rules just aren't defined well... they're very gray and though some staff make attempts to debunk them in news articles etc... I dont find they address all the issues. Like the rule against child erotica which extends to fanart which sounds like a pretty logical argument but when You have characters aged up, or actual adult characters who were children and then adults in their series it gets murkey. Fanartists get labelled as child pornographers.

While the muslim hating artist is still alive an active with his hate art that is considered free speech...

I dont argue with DD's. Because there's so many ways to promote yourself and others on DA beyond DDs. I also know it's all subjective. I don't think the GM's are out there to piss people off... but they are human!

My issue is more to do with SOME staff. I wish some staff would take some courses in communicating with people. lol. because some really suck at it. They're offensive and shouldnt be working with people if they can't manage to not call them stupid when they ask a question. i think deviants get a bad rep because we're approached with hostility so we react with it. We've come to expect it. So my thing I'd like to see improved is better communication between staff and deviants, and I'd like to see staff and volunteers held accountable

That's what I said in my journal. I'm here beacuse of two reasons: showing my art to the world and meeting friends. Fortunately, both things still work for me.

Hi. I'm considered a famous person because of all my pageviews and the DD's. People don't look long enough to realize I've been here nearly 6 years and have 700+ deviations so that sorta factors into the attention I get.
I reply to every comment, thank people for every fav, and return watches. Too often people pass by someone they consider "famous" because of biases they already have built up. And DA is open to everyone so lots of professional people with already existing followings join. I don't think it's fair to blame "famous people" for others not getting attention. There are lots of reasons why people get attention and other people don't. I find 90% of the time it has to do with how active in the community. Bleeding pictures on DD tend to only be 1 every day since we have a horror and macabre gallery- and the mod for that gallery is supposed to pick an image from that gallery to receive a DD. Each Gallery Mod picks one image from the gallery they moderate to post everyday. I think when you actually go in and see where each deviation is placed you'll see it's actually incredibly fair. But at the same time, the people choosing DDs are only human! Check out FAQ #18: Who selects the Daily Deviation and how is it chosen?it really helped me understand!

I think the best thing to do when you're on DA and your here because you have friends and enjoy each other's art it just keep doing just that! Enjoy your art, enjoy theirs, keep up with your friends! Don't measure your 'success' on deviantART with other people because we're all so unique and have such different approached that it's just never going to be fair. If it's about the art, let it be about the art. Don't let drama pull you in

Votaria por la mayoria de cosas en la lista, aunque en especial por lo de las malditas censuras en dibujos eroticos o de chicas sexys de anime (cuando por ahi hay muchas fotos "artisticas" reales que muestran mucho más de lo "permitido"), lo de los comentarios ofensivos o criticas destructivas (la mayoria sin sentido), la gente que más lo utiliza como Fotoblog/Myspace/hi5 y ni siquiera separan en su gallery las fotos de sus demas trabajos (encima algunos te reclaman el por qué no has ido a coemntar las fotos de su "viaje o farra"), y por ultimo (aunque en menor caso) cuando alguien que por ejemplo, habla español, no te escribe en el mismo idioma sino en full english...

PD: Lo de "bleeding" te refieres a esas desviaciones o fotografias con sangre o heridas? (es que como mencionastes lo de girls, pos pensé que te referias pero a chicas desnunas o en algo erotico, pero si es así con sangre pues eso es... feo X.x)
